The 2016-17 National Basketball League season is over the halfway mark with Sydney Kings the top dogs, their standing atop the ladder the one constant over the past few rounds whilst the remainder of the teams have chopped and changed positions.Beneath the Kings, no team has endured the ups and downs more this season than Adelaide 36ers: after round seven the Sixers were riding a four-game losing streak to boast a 3-6 win-loss record; things since have clicked and the 36ers head into round 11 as the hottest team in the league on the back of a five-game winning streak.Adelaide achieved one of those wins in round eight, at Qudos Bank Arena, on the back of solid performances from Jerome Randle and Daniel Johnson while Cadee was quiet with only five points. The Kings and 36ers will play twice during round 11, each hosting one game at home. The 36ers may replace the Kings in the No. 1 spot if they can pull of the double, whilst the Kings can reaffirm their stance on top and send Adelaide tumbling down the standings.Plenty to play for, then, with big-name players such as dual MVP Kevin Lisch, Jerome Randle and Josh Powell to feature; but Jason Cadee is the biggest taking point ahead of the first encounter in Adelaide.Cadee spent two seasons playing for Adelaide in the 2012-13 and 2013-14 NBL seasons, and he is excited about returning to his old stomping ground.I loved my time in Adelaide, Cadee told ESPN of his time in Adelaide, where he finished on the bottom of the ladder in his opening season before reaching the grand final in his second year.I had a lot of fun and met some great people. I love being able to go back there and see those people again.Im going back as a Sydney King now and looking to get a win; its not an easy place to do it and theyre playing very well at the moment, but Im looking forward to the challenge.Cadee certainly isnt fazed about the potential reaction of the home fans when he returns. If they cheer for me, then great; if they dont, then thats how its supposed to be when youre against them.Cadee says the Kings still have plenty of room for improvement with the teams now turning their attention towards the finals and looking to claim one of the top-four positions.Hopefully we can go about that and put ourselves in a good spot come finals time.
